Dr. M.P.Gupta is Associate Professor and Group Chair of IT. His research interests are in the areas of IS/ IT planning, Business intelligence, E-business and E-governance. Dr. Gupta has authored an acclaimed book ‘Government Online’ and edited two others entitled ‘Towards E-Government’ and ‘Promise of E-Governance’, published by Tata McGraw Hill, 2004. His research papers have appeared in National and International Journals/Conference Proceedings. He was the recipient of the prestigious Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) fellowship of Shastri Indo Canadian Institute, Calgary (Canada) in the year 1995-96. He supervised egovernance portal “Gram Prabhat” which won the IBM Great Mind Challenge Award for the year 2003. He has coordinated several national level seminars apart from the major events such as International Conference on e- Governance 2003 (18-20 December 2003). He was a member of International Program Committee of the International Conference on Business Information System (BIS-2003 at Colorado) and (BIS-2004 and 2005 at Poznan). He is life member of Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management (GIFT) and Systems Society of India.
